Family playing board game at home | Victoria, TX

Classrooms across Texas are closed for the school year and many other places are shut down or operating under strict limitations. Here at Atzenhoffer Mitsubishi in Victoria, we know how difficult it can be to keep your children occupied and entertained while staying at home. If you’re in need of new activities, we’ve gathered some ideas to help you plan fun indoor games for kids.

Indoor Bowling

For this all-ages game, all you need is an indoor-appropriate ball and several plastic water or soda bottles. Mark a starting line and see who has the best aim. For a tougher indoor bowling challenge, partially fill the bottles with water so they’re harder to knock over.

Little Builders

If your young ones are tired of their toys, have them build with everyday household items. Use ice-pop sticks, paper, tape, blocks, cardboard tubes, and boxes to make buildings and other creations. Or get out pillows and blankets and construct indoor forts.

Freeze It

For this game, have your kids dance to their favorite music — then stop it abruptly and have them freeze in place. You can even add a twist by having them freeze in animal poses, letters, or shapes. Whoever can freeze in their position the longest wins the round.

Treasure Hunt

For a fun treasure hunt, hide coins or other items around the house and leave clues on pieces of paper. Make sure you vary the difficulty of the clues and hiding places to keep things interesting!

Equipped with these ideas, you’ll be ready to help your kids have fun, fend off boredom, and stay engaged with the world around them. Stay safe and healthy this spring. And remember to call us here at Atzenhoffer Mitsubishi for any vehicle maintenance questions you have during this time.
