2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

In an industry where many competitors were expecting declining vehicle sales, Mitsubishi March sales just helped the automaker set a personal record. The company is celebrating its best sales month since 2004. Over 19,599 Mitsubishi vehicles found new owners by the end of March in comparison to 2018’s final number of 14,319 – a 36.9 percent increase from 2018 to 2019.

It hasn’t been long since Mitsubishi announced plans to focus on SUVs and crossovers in a time when the SUV segment is trending among customers, a strategy that’s worked well for the brand. March marked a milestone for the Outlander and Outlander Sport in particular, which had their best sales month of all time. The amount of Outlanders sold increased by 65.4 percent over March of 2018, and the Outlander Sport sold 5,309 units this March in comparison to 4,674 units last year. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross also contributed to March’s sales numbers, with the crossover netting 3,143 sales in March.

If current trends continue, Mitsubishi March sales could indicate an amazing overall year for the brand. With the Outlander, Outlander Sport, and Eclipse Cross stealing hearts in the SUV segment and even more SUV/crossover entries coming to the Mitsubishi lineup, the brand has a bright future ahead of it. Here at Atzenhoffer Mitsubishi, we are proud to do our part when it comes to Mitsubishi sales.
